The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations was held in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, concluding with great success. Within this historic event, Dr. Yasser Hosny played a prominent medical and organizational role. He was responsible for the main stadium, Moulay Abdellah, which hosted both the opening and final matches, as well as the Olympic Stadium, supervising a total of ten matches.

The tournament also saw an unprecedented medical advancement in African football, as the CAF Medical Committee introduced the Medical VAR system for diagnosing concussion cases. This system was actively implemented across 9 stadiums during 52 matches.

This initiative was part of a comprehensive set of advanced medical measures applied for the first time in AFCON history, emphasizing player safety and elevating medical standards across African football, with contributions from distinguished medical professionals including Dr. Yasser Hosny.
